Cannabis life cycle
All stages of cannabis development
- germination from seed and sprouting;
- vegetation;
- flowering;
- bud ripening;
- harvesting (harvest).
Seed germination
Seeds that fell into your hands must be germinated. You can consult with your grandmother, but she may ask a couple of uncomfortable questions. In fact, this process is simple and does not take much time. Make a depression with your finger to the depth of one phalanx, put the seed and sprinkle with soil or vermiculite. You can lightly moisten with water or a weak solution of growth stimulator from pulvik. But don't flood! The temperature should be around 28-30 degrees, nuts like heat.
You can germinate the seeds in advance and then plant them in the ground, but good seeds from reliable seed banks germinate well without dancing with a tambourine.
Seedling growth
The first leaves that show plants are cotyledons. After that, he will begin to develop real large cannabis leaves.
It is better not to use fertilizers at the seedling growth stage, because the universal soil mixture already contains everything you need: nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, iron, manganese and much more, in the required proportions. You also need to be careful with watering - it is better to wait until the earth dries out than to overflow the seedlings.
This stage in your future bush lasts, on average, a month. At the same time, it is necessary to provide the plant with good light - from 16 to 18 hours a day. They say that the spectra of ESL or LDS lamps are better suited for this. In principle, everything will grow under the HPS lamp, but keep it at a distance of 90-100 cm from the tops for better plant growth.
If the seedlings are done on the windowsill, then it is best to choose a window on the sunny side and turn the cup over every couple of days. In this case, there will be very even seedlings for a distant landing in the outdoors.
Vegetation of the plant
If you did everything right, then after three weeks the seedlings already have more than ten beautiful leaves, a powerful stem and are ready for a distant transplant into a larger container or open ground. Container sizes are unlimited. In general, for most autoflowering cannabis strains, a 10 liter pot will suffice. It must be understood that the size of the plant approximately corresponds to the size of its root system.
An interesting fact is that autoflowering varieties still grow faster, and after a month they will already be blooming.
Cannabis plants like their root system to be well aerated (ventilated), you can use vermiculite for this purpose. Just mix it with the soil at the rate of 1 to 3 and you're done.
It is already necessary to fertilize the plant at the stage of vegetative growth. At this time, she needs a lot of nitrogen, so if you use different fertilizers, focus on this element.
Light will need a lot - from 16 to 24 hours a day.
And again, watering is a delicate matter. If the soil is still wet, don't overdo it, don't water more. Let the soil dry better, and the leaves may even drop a little. From underfilling, the plant will not be bent, but overflowing can cause root rotting and death of the bush.
Flowering
We deliberately skip the pre-flowering phase because we know that you have probably already bought feminized seeds in our Prosto Rasta online store. That is, you do not have the problem of identifying and selecting males.
Well, finally, the plant began to smell and showed the first thin pistils - the flowering phase began. This is the longest and most emotional period of cannabis life. Experiences, first of all, yours.
Cannabis begins to bloom outdoors, when the daylight hours become shorter, the plant receives a signal that the life cycle is ending.
Harvest
Different varieties have different harvest times. For autoflowers, this is approximately 2 months. If you did everything right, you will get an excellent harvest.
But remember that storage of a dry product in many countries of the world provides for criminal liability!
