Cannabis plant training
A way to increase yield through cannabis training
Training is the physical manipulation of the plant (changing the direction of growth points or removing some of its parts), as a result of which more inflorescences are tied, and the yield is increased.
Even outdoors, the lower inflorescences are much smaller in size than the tops, which is dictated by the conditions of natural selection on the street - the plant population that is more likely to be pollinated by the wind survives, the central cola is more important than others from the point of view of the cannabis bush itself. Luckily, there's more than one way to get a cannabis plant to prioritize all of its buds equally!
Cannabis training types
It is divided into 3 main types:
- Folding and tying without damage to plant tissues (or with little damage)
- Pruning is the strategically directed removal of certain parts of a plant in order to give its structure the desired shape.
- Manipulation of biorhythms to accelerate maturation or increase yield
Growers often use these methods in combination with each other, but either training alone can be very effective. For example, working with autoflowering material means that the biorhythms of the cannabis plant cannot be manipulated (because the autoflowers will transition to flowering on their own), as well as the low chance that pruning will take root (due to the short life cycle of autoflowering cannabis), which leaves the autoflower grower with only one safe bet: bend and tie up your plant.
